Bec Philipp APD AN AccSD

Accredited Sports Dietitian
Accredited Nutritionist
Level 1 Anthropometrist

As an athlete Bec realised the power that good nutrition could have on performance and wellbeing. After a successful career as a Civil Engineer, Bec decided to change paths and pursue her passion for health and fitness.

Bec believes that dietary changes should always be sustainable, nutritionally-complete, and enjoyable. In addition to helping clients understand what to eat, Bec also likes to incorporate mindful eating principles into her practice and is passionate about helping clients develop a healthy relationship with food and view each meal as an opportunity for self-care.

As an Accredited Sports Dietian, Bec’s interests include sports nutrition management (particularly endurance sports), and also weight and disordered eating concerns, heart disease, and gastrointestinal conditions. Bec is also a Level 1 Anthropometrist (body composition assessment and skin-folds measurements).

On a personal level, Bec loves training and competing in marathons, having previously competed in Ironman triathlons and twice placing in the top 10 overall at Ironman Australia. Bec balances her training and work schedule with the mum life, caring for son Luca and daughter Sabine.

Bec is a warm and compassionate dietitian who enjoys working with people from all walks of life to help them reach their health and sporting goals. Bec’s long athletic history and life experiences help her to understand the real-world challenges faced by her clients.

Bec provides consultations at our Carina and Thornlands clinic locations.

Felicity Edwards APD AN

Accredited Practising Dietitian

Accredited Nutritionist

From a young age, Felicity knew she wanted to have a career revolving around her love of food and nutrition. Having grown up on a dairy farm, she kept an active lifestyle by either chasing chickens or being chased by cows. She developed a love for fresh food and good nutrition by helping out in the dairy, and by picking fruit in the orchard, and harvesting vegetables from the veggie patch.

At school, Felicity's favourite subject was biology (and chatting with her friends); so naturally, a career in health which allowed her to talk with people about food everyday was a perfect fit.

As a young adult, she moved to the big city of Brisbane where she completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics with Honours at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Enjoying all aspects of nutrition; Felicity has practised dietetics in the community, nursing homes, and the hospital setting in both rural and metro areas.

Felicity understands and appreciates that everybody is unique, and there is no magic-pill "one-size-fits-all" dietary approach. Preferring to work alongside her clients to provide easy to understand nutrition advice; Felicity strives to enable her clients to make sustainable changes that achieve results in an enjoyable way.

Although she is not the sporty type (instead preferring to leave that to Bec), Felicity does enjoy watching and cheering on her favourite sports teams. Her favourite sports are AFL and Cricket. She also loves to challenge herself to learn new skills and is currently learning to speak French and play the piano.

Felicity provides consultations at our Carina and McDowall clinic locations.
